Default Twin Turbo C5 Z06 by Thompson Motorsports

BETTER PHOTOS TO COME, SORRY ABOUT THE POOR QUALITY PICS.

The new Thompson Motorsports project. We will be building this in multiple stages(different motor and turbo sizes to show the relations and differences). We are starting with a 2002 Z06 corvette that has all ready had an STS Twin turbo kit installed. It is all stock other than the turbo set up, and makes 541HP and 552FTLBS as it sits.

First build will be set up and used at the Texas Speed Syndicate run in April. It will be set up with the following:

MOTOR:

TMS boost 370 at 9.6:1CR

TMS 2618 forged pistons by Diamond racing in a Flat top -2cc (this is our piston, We have made minor changes like re inforcing the base of the piston under the valve reliefs for addl strength, lowered ringlands, and addl support from the crown to the pin and base of the piston)

TMS 4340 forged connecting rods with ARP rod bolts

TMS file fit ring set

Narrowed rod bearings and chamfered main bearings

GM balanced crankshaft

GM LQ9 block blueprinted by TMS

TMS 317 casting CNC ported heads with dual springs and titanium retainers

TMS Stainless steel valves triple back cut intake and double back cut exhauts

TMS custom ground billet camshaft

Chromoly 7.400 pushrods .080" wall

MLS head gaskets 4.080"x.051"

TMS 8740 head stud set

Scorpion roller tip rocker set

EXHAUST

Stainless long tube headers

Stainless X pipe

Turbo:

Currently stock STS turbos, we will be operating the turbos for a short time on the new motor to guage the maximum ability then upgrading before the TSS event.

Here are some photos of the car as it came to us.

We have the heads ready to go for you. We are also ready when you are on the block. You will have to post pics of your build when you install it.

Hah, thanks. There is no cover on the phone but apparently there was some oil on the lense that I did not notice until I had downloaded the pictures.
