Default Fuel filler door switch removal - How to?

Hi.
I'm swapping out the stock consol and radio surround and replacing with some sweet Vette Essentials stuff.

Anybody know how the fuel door switch comes out? - I don't want to break it.

Thanks muchly.

Take off the 4 screws on the water fall slide off (if it is a vert...coupe not sure but I would think is close to the same) take off the4 bolts in the console( 10 mm) then pop off the active handleing ( pressure fit in you can get under it with your finger nails or a small flat screwdriver.) You will see 2 more bolts remove them then you pull up the pull the console up far enough to turn over. You will see the clip that holds the wires in for the fuel door button...pop off then you squeeze the fuel door button in on the ends and push through the top of the console

THAT'S IT !!!
That's what I wanted to hear. I now have the switch in my hand and will finish the job tonight (on lunch right now).

People in Tech and here kept pointing me to the same VE website page(s)...(perhaps I'm blind and just could not see it on those pages - which I checked out well before posting)

Thanks Iceburgh - take the rest of the day off.

While you're in there you may want to add some insulation. I did it and am happy with the sound deadening and heat reflecting it provides. Big difference for me. Especially the sound part. My cabin doesn't get hot like some complain about here. The C3 is HOT! C6? Not so much IMO.

17 year old thread. I have a feeling all the work has been done by now.
