Default Convertible Top Adjustment

Can adjustments be made to convertible tops on C5's? My drivers side window pinches the fabric on the convertible top and is tearing the material when I close the door with the window up. Thanks in advance.

Not sure what year you have but FYI: 1998 verts and maybe some 1999 had this problem - top of the door glass just touches the fabric on the vertical edge of the door opening when you close it. Window is adjusted to fit great, top is tight and even. Still hits when you close the door!!! Familiar?
The tops were changed to have more clearnce around the doors - look at 2000 or later models, they have lots of clearance. GM never went back to fix the early ones. Mines been adjusted by the pro's - not the dealer - a couple times. Works for awhile but... One place offered to remove top, trim the edge, add new edge trim and reinstall for about $350.00 vs a new top installed $1000. Time for me to just get a new top (even though it's otherwise in good shape).
Good luck!

Does anybody know which way you need to turn the adjustment nut on the 5th bow to move the top away from the hatch? Has anyone actually done this and had luck with the top not touching the paint when they were completed?
