Just thought you guys and gals might like to see what your car would look like with 19 inch C6 wheels front and rear. There have been several posts of people installing C6 wheels on a C5 Corvette in the OEM 18 in. front and 19 in. rear sizes, but I have never seen anyone use 19 in. wheels for both front and rear fitments.
If anyone is interested in this wheel and tire fitment for your Vette, I used factory OEM 19x10 in. polished Corvette C6 wheels for a 2005 to 2007 C6 Corvette. I am using a 285/35/19 OEM Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-2 EMT run flat at 26.9 diameter for the rear and a 265/35/19 Yokohama Advan Sport with a 26.3 diameter for the front.
If you would like a matching set of tires, Tire Rack sells the 285/35/19 Yokohama Advan Sport that has the same 26.9 diameter that the 285/35/19 OEM run flat tire has. OEM tire diameters for the 2001-2004 C5 ZO6 fitted with the Eagle F1 Super Car tires are 25.4 diameter with the 265/40/17 front tire and 26.1 diameter for the 295/35/18 rear. If you do the math, that is .700 diff. front to rear with the OEM factory tires. The 19 in. tire diameters that I used are 26.9 rear and 26.3 front. And when using the 265/35/19 Advan Sport on an OEM 19x10 wheel, the actual tire diameter is 26.2 so you end up with the same .700 diff. front to rear. The end result is that you will increase the ride height by .400 at the rear and the same .400 at the front.
I am using a ride height of 4 in. with approx. 1 degree of negative wheel camber front and rear. You do not need to use wheel spacers for this 19 in. wheel and tire fitment but you only have approx. 1/8 in. tire to fender liner clearance at the back side of the rear tires.
Since you are increasing the tire radius by .400, I trimmed the front brake cooling duct by 3/4 in. where it comes through the wheel house just to be safe. I also have the rear brake cooling ducts removed from my ZO6. The only other issue is that you can't turn your wheels at a full lock position without some tire rub on the fender liner. I had no issues with speedometer or traction control with the first drive I took in the car. Since you are changing the tire diameters by .800 the speedometer needs to be checked for accuracy.
The first drive I took with the car convinced me that I did not make a mistake. The car handled and drove as good or better than it ever has. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.
Let me know what you think of the wheels on the car. Mods to date are:
1 - Magnuson intercooled MP112 supercharger running at 7 lb. of boost installed by Lingenfelter Performance Engineering
2 - Pfadt full coil over suspension
3 - Energy suspension sway bar bushings
4 - Starcraft Lingenfelter blower hood
5 - Corsa X pipe with Borla XR1 rear section
6 - Donaldson Blackwing air inlet system
7 - 60 psi fuel system upgrade[/SIZE]

Very Nice Indeed.
How is the wheel offset on a C5? Do you have any photos showing how far the wheel sticks out from the fender?

well, to be honest, I dont like the way the wheels look on the back,, they are in too much,, the z06 c5 looks the best with the wheels coming out more and deeper dish.. thats only my opinion though.

On the first drive i took with the car it felt and drove great. Iam using a PFADT full coil over suspension and have thrm adjusted to a pretty stiff valving to increace the handeling of the car. I also adjusted them to a 4 in. ride height for a lower center of gravity also to increase the handeling of the car.
Thanks for the positive comment.

I do not have any photos but i can tell you the wheel offsets for a standard c5 are 56mm with the 17 by 8.5 in. wheel for the front and 63mm for the 18 by 9.5 wheel used on the rear.
Thanks

I know this is an older than dirt thread but I was doing some searches and this caught my eye.
My question is ...this guy used all 4 - 19" x 10" base c6 wheels with the +79 offset??
If so ...I dont like the rear but the front is a good idea IMO....if you like 19" all the way around.... So I'm thinking getting replicas with this setup on my 99 base C5:
front 19" x 10" / +79 / 265-35-19
rear 19" x 10" / +56 / 285-35-19 (instead of the sunken wheel he has)
So the front would be the same as this guys and the rears would be more flush. Am I correct in thinking this would work this way?
Thanks for you response!
