I had my '04 aligned at a local shop and before they did the work they assured me that they knew how to lift a vette. Well... the bottom of the driver's side rocker panel is now scratch from the front wheel to the back. It only shows when you are under the car, and it was a perfect car up till now!

What should I do? Ask for money back? Have the shop pay to have it repaired?

If you are sure that they did it, then they should pay for repairs. There must be some paint on the lift that they used. Did you point out the damage to them before you left the shop? They may deny making the damage. Just my opinion.

The work was done last Friday and I was cleaning the car up tonight and found the scratches. I know that they were not there before, but proving it will be impossible. It just burns me that I got their assurance that they knew what they were doing, but they didn't. Guess I'm just venting. A very hard lesson learned!!! I'll see what I can get out of them, but I won't count on anything.

That sucks. What color is the car? Maybe you can touch it up and smooth the scratch out to blend it in.

I would have to say you are SOL, There is no way you can go back 5 days later and say they did it, Seeing that you just noticed it, It is possible it happened going over a speed bump or something.
