When it needs it. What non maintenance free battery are you using?

Its a autozone duralast red top battery that requires water--My question is how often on the average does a battery require water? Once a week -month - year--must be an average somewhere--

here in vegas id check it once a month. maybe a little ****, but as you know , gets a bit warm here. you might want to check on some marine battery caps. had some on my boat and they're kind of an anti spill cap. also allegedly retain the acid better. you dont want any acid getting into your wiring. regards, j.d.

Thx. My car is mostly stored on a battery tender 24/7 and driven very little---Travel all the time--I dont think a battery eats water that often--but checking I will do--

I would recommend distilled water too, instead of tap water. No minerals and cheap. Maybe 60 to 80 cents a gallon at the grocery store. Just make sure it says "distilled" and not "drinking water" or "purified water".
