anyone run z06 rears up front?
does this look bad? any rubbing issues?
I want to run Nitto Invos but they dont make stock z06 size or anything real close for the fronts but do make the 295 35 18s in the rear size
If this is possible and worked/looked good it makes good sense...then i can rotate the tires as well
I emailed nitto to see if they were going to make the invo in stock c5z front size but no response

I have run them before. Minor rub at full lock. They stick out a little further then the rears. My plan is to run 285s on front and 305/315 on the rear and it will balance the look. I don't think they would rub at all with 285s it's very minor with 295s.

Also the R2 in track and drag radials. Oh yeah and the NT01 for track and drifting.
Would be nice if the would do it with the Invo but I wouldn't hold your breath. You'll need to run C6 sizes.

the Nt05s dont even come in stock sizes...i want the invos for a nice quiet DD tire, good rain characteristics, i dont care about hooking straight line...invos handle well..they have 3/32 more tread when new than the NT05s
Ive considered the NT05s as I can get a set pretty cheap but just exploring my options

Yeah they do. 275/40-17. Many use that over 265/40-17. Since that is truly an oddball size. Don't balk on a tire because the 17 is a 275/40-17. It works just fine. And the rears come in 295/35-18. Perfect.
No they are not the same rain tire and quiet DD tire like an Invo. I can appreciate that. I've got 19s on the car for street and Invo comes in sizes I can use and the price is not bad considering.
As for running 18x10.5 rears up front. I do it all the time on track. They stick out with 315/30-18s on them. With 285s you are just about flush.

My street tires/wheels are 01 Alcoa Z06 18x10.5 Front and 01 Alcoa 18x12 Rear(Weldcraft Widened)
Front Wheels with a 285/30 the tire tread protruded beyond the fender well at the top of the fender. I decided to go with 275/35 and I am happy overall. The wheel and tire(curb protector/sidewall) protrude but the tire side wall is stretched just a hair and it's enough that the tread is in the fender. I do not feel/see any adverse handling or treadware due to the stretched sidewall and like I said it is minor.
The curb protector of the tire sticks out the furthest and the total distance is 1/2" (see pic)

I ran 10.5's up front with 295's and like the previous poster said there was very minor rub inner wheel well at full lock. They are aggressive looking-pretty much even with top lip of fender, not gay looking tucked in like the 9.5's are...
