I haven't modified any OEM housings yet. I might be able to grab some scrap ones from the local vette shop. I'll probably have it finished by monday.

Do you have any photo examples of blue led in a tinted housing? I guess your warranty would mean no leaks, fogging, cracking of lens after you take them apart and put them back together? Thanks

The lense is never removed. The LEDs are mounted by cutting a 1/4" wide slit in the back of the housing. The LED strip is inserted then sealed back waterproofing the housing. Warrenty covers the LED strip and related wiring.

I am interested in seeing them on a car. I will be attending Carlisle on Saturday. Do you know of anyone who has done this mod that will be attending so I can see it on their car?

I tried to order a set a week ago. They were backordered and i was recently informed that the DOT will no longer allow them to e sold in the US without the amber reflector.

If you want a set of them, you'll haev to buy pre-owned from an individual.... or get a set from Brian at FI performance. He has a few sets remaining I believe.

Shawn's tinted DRLS are on the way. Dropped them off today.

I finally saw these operate on an Audi. When you select the turn signal, the LEDs go out and the amber turn signal flashes. Once off, the LEDs come back on. Will these work the same way? If not, can they be wired to do so? Thx

There is no circuit in the area that would allow the lights to work like that. They CAN be tapped into the DRL/turn signal so they flash with the turn signals.

George! I love the idea of having the strip on the inside.. I wanted to clear something up though. With this remote.. Are you saying it is possible to have more than one color and switch them with the remote? If so that is wicked awesome! Also do you ever take a break from encouraging us folks to forget about priorities?!

Good job man.

That pic of your car is gorgeous btw!

As of now, I believe there's only enough room for one color LED strip. The remote option is usually resrved for show cars using non-street-legal colors.

George,

Weird question here but are you able to add this LED strip to a OEM C6 fog light housing? I am asking this because I might be putting a custom bumper on my C5 that uses the C6 fog light housings and I need find a way to adapt some sort of turn signal into the car so it will be street legal. I would like to use this these LEDs as my turn signals only. Make sense?

thanks,
Brian

How are these setup to run? As the DRLs? Are they always on? And depending on if you have your lights on, do they get dim/bright?

If you can provide a picture of the back of the foglight housing, i can let you know if it's doable (please also provide measurments of the light)

Never thought I'd say this George, but I love the flames coming out the coves!

BTW, I'm loving my light-canons. Man, with both sets of HIDs fired up, nothin' is gonna hide from me in the dark!

Doug
