i have done this by using front tires in the back and removing rear brake ducting. cable chains. never had to drive long distance, i test fitted them and drove up and down the driveway, seemed to work fine - just enough clearance.
had to get the car over some mountain passes in the winter and wanted to make sure i am prepared for the worst case scenario.
Ive been reading quite a few threads by Junior members, and nothing against them, but referring to the YOUNG junior members who spend every penny JUST to have a corvette and dont take into consideration things like, where am I gonna store it?do I have a garage to put it in?do I have a winter vehicle to use for the winter months etc...ALL this and not be strapped with payments!Granted the value of the C5s have dropped which makes it easier for the young guys to get there hands on a C5 at a younger agebut come on,would you REALLY go as far as putting chains on a vette?????????????
Has anyone tried puting snow chains on a corvette. It sounds like fun i might try it. Any comments or suggestions, i have never delt with snow chains before. lol
