When I was shopping for a vette I had decided that I wanted a vert. with a six speed nothing else mattered to me.
When the seller pulled the cover off the 1999, Torch Red vert. and I saw the chrome C6 Z06 style wheels and then heard the sound of the BB cat back exhaust it was a done deal. We drove to a bank, cashed a check, paid cash and drove it home that same day.
I really enjoy my red vette with oak top and interior.

rare color combos. I have always been surprised that there are fewer white with torch red interiors. Saw an 01 vert at Vettes Doin' Charleston in white over torch red and it was stunning. Got a lot of attention and positive comments.

Yes..I've owned all different kinds of colors of Corvettes in C4's Dark Red, Pearl White, White, Bright Red, Black, but my favorite was my 94 Admiral Blue If the C5 came with that color I might not looked for Torch Red with Black interior, which is what I specifically wanted.

'Vettes are about shouting, like a Ferrari or Lamborghini. Shouting means bright (torch) red, yellow, or menacing (Black).

Metallics are about subtlety, like Aston Martins, Jaguars, Porsches, etc. (or Camrys and Accords )

I like most of the colors GM used on the C5's. There are a couple I wouldn't personally have, but like the Vette's I see in those colors.

That said, I did specifically search for and buy the Medium Spiral Gray convertible I currently own.

It's all about what you like. It is your money and your car.

Me, personally? I love my Nassau Blue. It was by far my favorite c5 corvette color. I was also looking at Navy Blue, White, and Black.

Red is a fun color, but I feel like red vettes are everywhere. Just my 0.02. Find what you like and drive it.

There are specific colors that work better with some generations than others so while I might not want a green C5, I would take a green C3 in a heartbeat.

Overall, white w/red will always be a classic favorite.

I had never really been picky about colors. There are colors I prefer and colors I'm not big on. When I bought my current car, I realized that I was going to own this one for a while so I did, for first time, try to seek out a specific color. Saw an Electron Blue Z06 and really, really liked it, so I put in the extra effort to find one.

I have a lot of cars and had worked on a number of C5's for friends. I had a lot of appreciation for the car even though Chevrolet didn't really offer any engine options like cars in the 60's. Could not really justify another car. However, when I saw a local 2001 Navy Blue convertible with the Light Oak to and interior I decided to but it. I just liked the combination. It was mint and low miles. Very happy every time I drive it.

I like black the best so that is what I bought , but my second and third choice would be Electron blue or the brightest red they make.

If you would ask my wife , she would say anything but green with tan top ( convertible ) and tan interior. She absolutely wants to throw up when she sees it. I don't know why, I kinda like it. although it would not be any of my choices.
