Default New Rims/Tires stick outside the wheel wells. Issue or not

Hello I added new rim and used my Michelin run flats. The rears stick out 1/4 inch. The fonts less . Will this be a problem ?

Shouldn't be an issue. What is the offset? Mine is +56mm on Front and rear and they are flush. 19x10 on the rear and 18x8.5

They won't be an issue mechanically (as long as they don't rub on the fenders). You should know pretty soon if they are rubbing. You will sling more crap onto the side of the car as well. If you like the look of it, and you don't mind cleaning your car more often, then you should be fine. It's hard to see in the pictures how much poke you have. Try to get a pic from above looking down. If you're really not happy with it, you might consider getting spacers. The listings that you posted don't say what the offsets are on those wheels. Good luck!

C5 factory spec wheels: https://www.corvette-web-central.com...ttewheels.html
Different offsets and different back spacing, but they will work.

The info on what you posted doesn't match up. The first post without the offset says the rear is 18x9.5, but the one with the offset listed says it is 18x8.5 (which would be really narrow for a rear wheel). It lists the offset as +56. If we assume they are actually 18x9.5, I believe the offset should be around +57. As such, I imagine that you have about an inch of poke. In your last pic, if you measure the amount of tire sticking out (likely about an inch), that will give you a good idea of the spacer you would need in order to make the tire flush. Good luck!

Thanks, I saw it. What I'm telling you is to measure the distance from the edge of your fender to the outside edge of the tire (as seen in your pic). This will tell you what size spacer you need if you want your setup to be flush.

If the rears are actually 18x9.5 ET56, they shouldn't poke that much unless you put on really wide tires... which it appears is not the case. That width/offset should be just about perfect for the rear. And the front looks like good specs, too.

Maybe you can take off a rear wheel and verify the size and offset? This information is usually cast onto the backside of one of the spokes.

Offset is in millimeters. It's not 1 inch of poke, it's 1mm of poke which is of no concern.

OMG! You're correct. My brain is a bit melty today and I wasn't thinking metric. He's 100% correct that it is millimeters. With that said, it looks like more than 1 MM.

Your car will be fine. Mine poke slightly too. I have a wheel and tire combo from tire rack

18x9.5 front with a 275 35. +50 offset
19x10.5 rear with a 305 30. +54 offset

i have no issues. Car rides great. Pokes like 1/8 inch, barely noticeable unless your actually looking for poke.

Not a problem. I’m running C6 Z06 wheels in C5 Z06 size’s with stock C5 tires. No body damage. Running this setup over 15 years. 18-10.5 17-9.5

How can using spacers move the wheel inward?
