Default Poll, Who would buy a Zeroshift Transmission?

Hello Corvette Lovers,

I am curious as to how many people would actually put one of these High Performance Trannsmissions in their Corvettes?

I am talking about the Zeroshift modified T56 transmission that has been discussed over here, http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...0&page=1&pp=20

I am interested and would consider it if the price was "reasonable".

Keep in mind that the ZS-T5, fitted, will cost around £5,000. The ZS-T56, fitted, will cost around £7,500.

That is $10,336.7001 and $14,095.5001 respectively...

It's a very interesting idea, and I'd consider one, but not at the current price, nor until they'd had a chance to work out any technical issues, and until some other 'vette owners have tried it out and reported their real-world results.

No way, definitely not more than 5K and after thinking for a few more seconds, no, not anything. I like shifting. That's part of the game.

Okay,

Price might be within reach!

I emailed Zeroshift on a whim to see if there is any new release info and a Mr. Bill Martin replied promptly.

Basically after several emails back and forth he said price would be about $5k US and that would be the exchange rate. Meaning, you provide a transmission and they exchange one to you modified.

One big dissappointment though, he said it would be available 12 months at the earliest.

I bet if enough people pushed them, they might get it to the US much quicker, from what I have read and found on the company, they are all from racing backgrounds and certified car nutz. If enough people bug them, we could see it sooner.

i'd pay that price but for right now this seems like too far in the future to even be discussing it

they might run into numerous problems along the way

if they are saying 12 months from now, think along the lines of 28 months from now

I'd be interested if my tranny starts acting up, but first i'd have to drive a car that has it. $5K is probably on the high end of what i'll be willing to pay
