Slop sound coming from rear in C5?

Default Slop sound coming from rear in C5?

i drove my car to work today and noticed when i'm up shifting (6spd) when i disengage the clutch after shifting i can hear slop (sounds like U-joints are shot type sound) and i wasn't sure what i was hearing since there's only 45,000 miles on the car? any ideas?

Well it's not U-joints.

I have similar issues....

Probably just the gears loading/unloading.

You may want to check the torque of the rear axle nuts. They are known to loosen up a bit over time. Torque is 118 lb/ft. You'll need a 34 mm socket.

Agree!!

Had the same clunking noise in the left rear and found the Left Rear Axle nut was loose. Maybe 60# instead of the required 118#. Tightened it and no more CLUNK!!!
