When first engaged the on-board diagnostics go into an "automatic" mode which shows all parameters: PCM-TCS-RTD-BCM-IPC-radio-HVAC-LDCM-RDCM-SCM-RFA. If there are no problems, you will see "no more codes" on the ICP display. The computer will show two kinds of codes, "current" and "history," designated "C" or "H". A current code indicates a malfunction is present in the system whose module is displaying data. A history code indicates a past problem. When the screen displays "manual diagnostics," select the desired module by pressing the "options" button to go forward or the "trip" button to go back. Press "gages" to go forward or "fuel" to go back. To exit the diagnostic mode at any time, press "E/M".
If you want to erase or "clear" codes, press .""reset

Where is Button #1 and Button #4 ???

And where is the "E/M" button??

Thanks!

Bill,

I'm getting the C1233 code (right front wheel circuit open or shorted). I've replaced the hub and still get the code. One thing I did learn here is using an aftermarket hub instead of an OEM hub. After installing the aftermarket hub I still had the code but you could shake the wheel back and forth (indicating a crappy bearing). I checked continuity across the two sensors and the OEM was within spec. (wish I had done this before I bought the aftermarket hub but I bought the hub before I bought my service manuals). Looks as if it's pointing back to the EBCM module. This car only has 22K miles on the clock!

Could you please email me your write up? bmfvette@gmail.com

Thanks in advance!
Steve

Mr. Bill,

On occassion I have gotten those DIC's messages...BUT it has always been at the dragstrip with my linelock on and cleaning the rear tires coming out of the water box.
Front wheels not turning and rear tires turning like mad
was this the cause you think?

Thanks in advance
Jim

Default ABS service, Service Traction Control, Service Act Handling

Purchased a hub and it was replaced Service lights were still on. The servicers did a wiring check and the ground on the sensor connected to the harness on the hub was rubbed through. So you can get on lift and look at the wiring harness on the drivers side front wheel to see if any wires are frayed or broken first.
