Default Vararam owners. Can vararam dimple the front nose?????

I installed my vararam this spring and really like it. However, today I looked at my nose and saw a dimple or shallow indentation right by the passenger screen. This area looks a little deformed. I know I had to muscle on the vararam a bit during install. Do you guys think it is from the vararam?

Did you screw in the Vararam at the screens or leave them pushed in? I ask because it is possible to tighten the screw too much and dimple the bumper.

No the screens are not the issue, they are siliconed into place. Nor are screws the issue. What I mean by dimple is a little dent on the front nose between the screen and the license plated cover.Kind of if you would press on the cover with your thumb. I know i did not hit anything either. It is kind of hard to take pics now because car is in storage.

When I installed mine about a month ago it was deforming the bumper so I called customer service. The guy told me to only use the top inside screws and not even tighten them. He said that he doesn't even use the screws at all, just put the rams up to the opening and they will not go anywhere. It actually worked very well.

Thanks Rnelson11!!! Finally someone who recognises my problem!!!! I did tighten all the bolts. Probably should not have. Car is now in storage and I dont know when I will have time to loosen the bolts. Hopefully this will not cause permenant disfigurement.Yet another vararam fitment issue.Vararam owners, look at your noses and please respond.

If left too long I would think that permanent deformation is a very strong possibility. Just my $.02.

You would be surprised at how these bumpers pop back into place after being bent up, if its really bad you can just use a little heat from a hair dryer or if you are careful then a heat gun.
I got some dents/folds out of a friends bumper after he ran over a curb and into some bushes, the bumper is made of the same stuff and it actually looked better than before as it already had dents in it when he bought the car.
