I'm thinking check fuse #2 in the passenger floorboard. Inadvertent load control. I don't know why, but from memory, I think that controls the reading and courtesy lights. Doesn't cost anything to check.

A bad reverse light switch can do that.

Usually it's on the side of the transmission in a place where the selector will hit it when you move the shifter over into reverse. I know on the GTO it was on the passenger side of the transmission near the top at the front. Not sure if it's the same location on the vette.

And that's what is called "hijacking someone else's thread" instead of starting your own.
How about the OP, Ole Blaster, did you find the fuse you were looking for?

No reason to kill yourself, living is allowed. When you start getting technical help and responses in someone esle's thread, it takes away from the OP's help and usually leads the discussion is a different way or to a different solution. One problem at a time in a thread is easier to keep straight and resolve. It gets annoying when you start a thread and someone else posts and starts to get the answers to a question they ask. It's very easy to start your own thread, use a title that relates to your problem so it can be searched. Plus, and this doesn't mean much to a lot of people, but it's in the forum rules that you agreed to when you joined.
