Exhausts are always a personal choice call.

Over the years I have used Borla. They sound mean and American.

Corsas sound weak IMO.

I did go with GHL once, and that was also a sweet exhaust.

Good luck.

Corsa Z06 sport with big nasty long tube headers. No weak sound here.

Just had my Borla Stingers installed this morning. I am loving the deep "muscle-car" sound. As for drone........it ain't drone; it's very mild exhaust "bass!" Besides, if I hit a speed ('08 A6 paddle shift) that the "bass" is excessive I just drive faster.

I chose wisely (for my taste) thanks to a lot of information on this forum. Thanks to all!!!!

had Borla on my 94 . Too lound after about 2 hours of driving . Put B&B on c5, not bad. have Corsa touring on C6 . No complaints from the passenger(wife) so guess they are ok . No Drone . They should polish them though . The B&B were polished and looked great . If B&B had 2 pipe I would probably have bought them again.

Based on my research, there is no PERFECT exhaust for the C6.

I would say that the majority of us want a deep badazz muscle car sound.
Based on that definition, the Borla Stingers are absolutely #1.
Although they do drone a little bit in 5th & 6th gears......probably a lot with an A6.

The problem is, there is nothing available that sounds like the Stingers but has absolutely no drone.

If you want no drone at all - get the Corsas.
Although they're going to sound European, with a higher pitch.
Most of us don't want that either.

I went with the Stingers and love 'em.

The answer to the whole "drone" issue is so elusive that even the word "drone" isn't even exactly correct for the topic at hand.

What we refer to as "drone" is really more of a certain harmonic series of frequencies that some feel are unpleasant. Some people enjoy the same harmonic series of frequencies that others dislike.

I believe that "drone" technically refers to a single, monotonous frequency but as we know there are multiple frequencies moving through the exhaust.

"Drone" in our sense is almost a slang term in reality

All of that is true - but when we say "drone" in reference to C6 aftermarket exhaust systems, we all know exactly what it is we're talking about.

I got the Corsa Touring and love it. Had Corsa Sports on my previous Vette and it was pretty loud. Had flowmasters and headers on my C4 and had to change the radio with Subs and Amps just to be able to listen to it. The touring is very quiet, almost like factory upon normal driving and gets louder upon acceleration. Getting older now and I don't like the noise. I like to be able to listen to the radio.
