2003 C5 a hard ride until....this could be you!
My brother just bought a 2003 50th Anniv. with 17,000 miles on it and had it shipped from Texas to upstate NY..I took it for a spin..rode hard, I mean really hard..felt every bump..not like either my C5 or my new C6...He Took it into the local dealer today..tire pressure was good..selective ride was good..but it rode hard...
Put it up on the rack....the dealership from which the car was originally shipped NEVER TOOK THE SHOCK STOPS OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The original owner must have thought he bought a wagon...but he never complained..
shock stops only allowed about 1 in of shock play.....
go figure???????

There was a long run of hard riding anniversary edition 2003 C5 cars as a result of dealers missing the shock stuffers during the PDI. Many owners traded in the cars due to the hard ride or worse, endured it for years as a result.
B.t.w., I'm sure the folks in the C5 section of the forum would appreciate this thread a little better than those of us with C6 Corvettes.

10 Years later, all 4 shock blocks/pucks still installed
I know that this is hard to believe, but I just purchased a '03 C5 50th Anniversary Corvette with 68,000 miles and all 4 factory installed shock blocks/pucks were still installed. As I understand, they were installed at the factory to protect the car during transport to the dealer and were supposed to be removed as part of the vehicle prep before sale. I noticed that this '03 C5 rode much harder than my newer C5, so I checked the forum for information. I found this thread and went out to check...and surprise!! all four shocks had a protruding yellow tab. I just spent a hour removing the shock blocks. It wasn't hard. Remove the wheel, lift the rubber protector at the top of the shock, and remove the block. My "new" vette rides much better now!!
