You'll probably need to swap it out once a year. Mine failed me after a year of no noise.

The SILICONE grease has stopped all noise for me for 2 months now. My roof only makes a popping sound with the transparant roof. With the painted roof I have no noise at all...go figure. Anyway, the silicone greased has worked so far for the clear roof.
