First Driveway Carwash of the Year
So I finally got to COMPLETELY wash & clean my car today - it's just beautiful out. Only downside is, the wife wants me to wash hers now

Shouldn't have moved!
By the time you got it back to Houston it would be dirty again, guess it's for the best that I don't wash it for you
Thanks, I use Mother's Mag for the exhaust tips, I think it turns out really good. And after a week of driving, I can just take a paper towel and wipe them off again, it comes off easy

Would you believe in our neck-of-the-woods that it is technically illegal to wash your car in your own driveway!!
The chemicals in the soap, and the dust off the brakes, oil, grease and other stuff that washes off the car runs down the street, into the drain system and winds up in Lake Ontario - thereby polluting the lake.
No one has ever been cited on this technicality, but if this were ever enforced, they would be doing away with one of the true pleasures of owning a car that is special to you - whether it be a Vette or an Edsel.
I hope that day never comes.

Thanks, washing the car by yourself is OK - the only problem I ran into was some annoying kinking out of my garden hose. I know, I know, I should have bought the one that costs 3 times as much and doesn't kink. Oh well.
Thank you

Love your hood !!!.. I envy the guys who can wash in their driveway. Most of NE Ga. is still under an outdoor water ban with fines up to 1,000.00. Lots of rain recently maybe it will ease soon. It's a real PIA to load up and go to the local coin wash.

Actually one of the best things you can do is wash your car on your lawn. Vegetation and soils are great 'filters.' I used to be involved with a company that built large commercial structures/parking lots and the best way to handle the runoff water was to direct it through a 'natural' area before it hit the stormwater system.
