I like your idea but I don't have any neighbors. And actually whenever I get a new sports car I wash, clay, wash , polish just to get off the road dust from the transport truck, the fine scratches the dealers lot boy makes when he wipes down the car and of course those nasty water deposits from the dealers crappy car wash.

It is like a mirror of Crystal Red Metallic.....Too bad I need Motrin just to get through the day.
I feel your pain, in a good way.

Took delivery of my Torch Red GS Coupe with seven (7) miles on the odometer on Saturday January 09, without the tires touching the snow here in mid Michigan, via a covered trailer.

GS washed, five (5) applications of Zanio applied, Mild to Wild exhaust controller installed and functioning, skip-shift eliminator installed, will have to wait until spring to test, front splash guards installed, battery tender connected and functioning, spend two (2) days up on jack stands wiping down the underneath, removed the wheels to clean the insides, another application of Zanio going on tomorrow if the cuts on my hands are healed enough to give it another go.

Took me four (4) months to get my GS, now a four (4) month wait for spring to arrive before salt free roads return.

My recent retirement is proving to be the best job I've had. What could be better than spending quality time in your garage bonding with your new GS.................

Regards,

GSRANDY

Usually the car gets clayed before you receive it at the dealership. I used to detail cars and I'd always have to clay the car prior to delivery.

I thought you are supposed to wait a month before claying and waxing.

Where do you live?!! Around Florida the dealers think clay is something you make pots with....

Congrats on the new GS. I'm sure you enjoyed cleaning it and the pain was worth it.
