Clearly the fuel injectors, not the valve train. I put a mechanics stethoscope on them and you can hear them hammering, some worse than others. Also checked with Chev dealer...same problem in Cadillacs. No known cure, not to worry, no damage being done.

The sound is not that loud in my Vette. Hopefully it would go away after the 2k miles.

A couple of months ago I decided to enjoy the sound of my new Vette, the dual exhaust, the 6.2 L engine. I turned off the A/C and Stereo and I heard that ticking. I was like WTF! It remineded me a little the reason why I got rid of my Camaro (bad lifters).

Anyway, I guess if you want to enjoy the noise of your engine you would have to pay another 100k for a Ferrari. Not worth it.

I was told that there is NO fix. Replace the engine. The cam and lifters wear out and metal circulates through the engine. Ask around but I had one and it was junk
