I have a 2010 convertible and when the top is up the deck lid aligns perfectly with all surrounding body panels. However when the top is down, the deck lid(tonneu cover) is up about 1/8 or 1/4 inch on the rear side. I know there are bolts to loosen and adjust the deck but it would appear the top is not quite going down as far as it should in the well area. Is there an adjustment for that....

I messed around with that for a long time. With time, the top will eventually compress more when retracted and the tonneau will close evenly. I brought mine to the dealer (mistake) and they had no clue how to adjust it. They tried though and ended up bowing the tonneau real bad. I reversed what they did in time so as not to cause permanent damage to the tonneau. There are adjustments that can be made but if yours is in alignment when the top is up, I wouldn't mess with it; it most likely will improve. The adjustments are basically "stops". If the tonneau isn't going down all the way when the top is retracted, it's because it's resting on the folded top so the stops aren't even a factor.

thanks JJ, I appreciate the input. I've decided since it does fit when the top is up, it most likely is just a case of hitting the top. I'll give it some time and try putting the handle down also......

I know this is an old thread, but did you ever find a solution for this? Considering an '07 convertible right now that has the exact same issue.

My cover wasn't going down enough when the top was down. When the top was up the cover had a bad rattle in it. I removed the waterfall between the seats and adjusted the pull down latch down some and it fixed both problems.

Was it the rear of the deck lid cover that wasn't going down completely?
