Who built your LS3 Grand Sport engine?
Just wondering how many engine builders GM has specifically for the GS?
The nameplate say's JD Dickenson on mine. Thanks JD, my GS runs like a banshee!
(is that better?)

Hey Chris,
There are sixteen engine builders at Wixom that build the LS3 dry sump engines for Grand Sports. We also build LS7 and LS9's. What we build does vary from day to day, depending on what Bowling Green needs. So, every builder gets a chance to build all three engines.
I'll tell JD you posted his. For fun, he's a helluva Harley mechanic too.
There was also another "Who built your dry sump LS3" thread going, but it fell off the front pages I guess.
It's spring - Yea! - enjoy your screamin banshee!![Cheers!](https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums/images/smilies/cheers2.gif)

Couldn't find who built mine, and then I panned out. Where is my dry sump oil canister? Why is there a battery in its place? Ran to google and found that even though I have a manual transmission GS, I have the convertible. Doh! Felt like an idiot for not catching this prior to taking delivery! Oh well, maybe my next Vette will have a hand-built engine.

it's nice to see the connection back to the men and women who build our beloved Corvette.

Ktzon;
Thanks for the post & the pic-in spite of my best efforts, I can't find the nameplate.
Any chance you might be able to expand the photo to help to determine location?
Thanks-New, CY Coupe, MN6, 3Lt.
Jerry

You have to pop the front of the driver's side rail cover loose and lift it up a bit. A flashlight helps to see the name plate after the rail cover is lifted. The cover snaps right back down in place with no problem.
