Let's go further, What's the "BEST" non-runflat for the Grand Sport or ZO6 that
can keep up with heavy traffic on the highway at speed IN A DOWNPOUR?.
Goodyear certainly can't with a run-flat in these tire size's.

Best Runflat tires
The Goodyears on my 2008 Z51 convertible were gone after 12,800 miles. The fronts went first.
I did some research and went with the Firestone Wide Ovals that are exclusively for C6's. After 3,000 miles the difference is amazing. Much quieter - great in the rain and they still look like new.

A lot of people believe that the run flats are rough and noisy because they are runflats, thus believe that to get tires that are not rough and noisy, they must purchase tires other then run flats. Nothing could be further from the truth.
When I got fed up with the noise and rough riding on my C5 I got rid of the GY runflats and replaced them with Michelin runflats. Surprise, surprise, the car still had run flats but the noise and rough riding were cut dramatically.
When the GY runflats on my Z06 need replacing next spring, Michelin PS2 run flats will most likely be going on(I will wait and see what people are saying about the new GY GEN2 runflats in Z06 sizes before I make the decision).

Yes!
Yes, the front do wear out faster because the the car is set-up with "aggressive handling" alignment from the assembly plant which is more dedicated to motor crossing (xcrossing) and road handling than daily driving. If you want better tire wear, you need to consult with different alignment shops and find out what type of alignment they do: street or racing.
