Finally a sensible comment. An LS3 is an LS3, variations in rear gearing and unsprung weight may impact drag times but could be offset by engine tolerance, weather, etc etc.

If you don't beleive gearing is important, bet your car against your friend's, but take off in second gear while he uses first gear.

My point was the the small diff in the base/GS gearing could be offset by other factors. I wasn't talking 4:10 gears... and yes I do know the impact of gear ratios.
