Default Splash guard for c6?

I've been looking around for some splash guards for an 08 c6. I was wondering where I can get some, and if the z06 guards would fit.

The GM ones looks very nice but I have seen rock chips on fenders and especially rear quarters even with the GM ones.

IMHO the GM ones are not wide enough to do the job, especially with sticky wide tires. You tires become rock throwers.

Look at it this way, the Z06 has much wider guards.

I really like the Apsis ones but they are $400 for the set

The question is was the rock chips on the car before or after the splash guards? My rock chip on the side happened before I put the splash guards on from partstaxi. I like them because they are almost transparent compared to others that are not. I have received no chips since and they kept the sides pretty clean when driving thru rain on the way back from a car show.

It was AFTER. Even noticed a lot of road tar on the fenders and quarters with the GM ones. The tires on the C6 do a very good job of throwing stuff everywhere.

The GM ones are nice, don't get me wrong. It is just that they are really small when compared to the Z06, ZR1 and Apsis.

My question is this. If the smaller GM ones were "ideal", then why wouldn't GM use them on the Z06 and/or ZR1? Instead they use the larger ones. And remember, The Z06 & ZR1 have the larger fenders but they still use larger guards on the cars.
