Saw a post a while back, someone used it to hold their Garmin GPS. They took a spray paint top cut it down a little and put it in the ash tray. The Garmin suction cup fits right on it. With it cut down a little the ash tray cover slides over it when you're not using it.

Same here, Mild to Wild fob. Held in place with velcro.

Geez, I just crack myself up sometimes.

Sorry.
Hmmm- I'd say you short changed yourself on this one.

I had a hunch I was going to get such a response. Well said.

Scary to think there are at least two of us out there with the same sense of humor

Some people can see jokes for what they are.

In other words, they have a great sense of vitreous humor....

I couldn't find a use for it, so I started smoking. Only kidding.

Nice factory look, don't you think?

Man, that's a great idea! I should do that with mine. Now, what did you do with your antenna? No mag-mount for sure!

Since I can't get the Homelink to work with my garage door opener, I bought a small $19 remote and velcroed it into the ashtray.

A local Vette owner makes stainless steel plates that mount behind the license plate using the existing mounting screws. I also connected a 19" wire to it to act as a counterpoise (no ground of course!) and it works just fine!

Here's are a couple of closeup pics:

As one of the clubs we belong to uses CB for trips, the center post is for a quick-disconnect CB antenna. Obviously, the dual band antenna is to the right of that.
