Default Dash crack covered under warranty??

I have an '08 Coupe with a "Bumper to Bumper" Warranty good until 2/28/11 and I had posted a month or so ago about this dash crack.

Some guys said that it would be replaced under the B2B warranty if I had one.

So I made an appointment today at Kerbeck down in Atlantic City, NJ to have them look at it...

What are your thoughts guys, think they are going to replace it under B2B Warranty or tell me to beat feet??

If not, im gonna have to find a reputable interior shop to repair it

If you are under the full warranty, then you are covered unless it was purposely damaged and from the picture, that doesn't appear to be the case. Now saying that, I remember all too well that years ago, if someone used armorall on a dash, it was going ruin it by causing cracking. I don't know if the product has been fixed or not, but I've never used it since the old days where it ruined a dash on my first car.

If they cover the seat bolster wearing out, they'll cover this.If 35 people tell you it's covered, why ask again? You looking for someone to say it's not??

Ohh boy, they're already trying to say it looks like a possible slice & may not be a warranty coverage!

Yup, u guys see the photos.... Way too crooked.
Spoke with the service manager & told him if it was a slice it would be straight.... he said it "looks like a slice & is spreading and that's why its not straight"
F'n BS! Kerbeck Service sucks!! They wouldn't do a thing other than say its not covered... Wish I could be one of those ppl to cause a scene!
One things for sure, ill never buy a car from them!

That might have been my original thread... But I know there were at least 2 cars from other threads in past years that said it was in same general area...

Tried telling them at Kerbeck other guys had issues & were replaced under warranty, but they didn't want to hear it, just said that they've never seen it before so its not a known issue so they won't cover it.

I would try a different dealer closer to you. The fact that it is a known issue or not doesn't come into it. All issues are unknown the first time they happen. Did you do or say something to **** them off?

No, I was real pleasant even kissing *** a bit with how I came there from far drive just cause they're the biggest dealer around, oh well...
already spoke with & emailed someone at Paramus chevy as a few ppl recomended them, so well see if they're more helpful!

I would bet you that people on here are really surprised to hear that Kerbeck, a vendor on CF, won't help you on what appears to be a product defect. Very surprising, or maybe not.

Ohh ya, you guys will get a kick out of this, just was thinking about what you said AORoads and how you'd think the dealer would take into account what the forums feelings are on the dealership... But as I was trying to tell the service manager how other people on the forums had these issues, he said...
"The forums mean nothing to us, We're the largest Corvette dealer in the world and we've never seen this before so we cant replace it under warranty"
LoL
