Default On Star contest

I called to enter the free GM car of your choice contest On Star is currently holding. You do not have to be a current subscriber to enter. If you have the unit in your car, just push the button to connect and enter. When I entered, they offered me six months free On Star services. That will get me through most of the summer driving season. Give a call.

With every new vehicle I have had with onstar, they kept bombarding me with emails and regular paper mail. I got so sick of it I refused to push the blue button on my new vette. The dealership must have given them my email address. I kept getting email after email. I contacted them and told them to take my name off their lists because I don't want their service. I would like to enter the contest, but I refuse to get their junk mail anymore. I think it's just a way for them to get more business.

The only e-mail I receive from Onstar is my monthly diagnostic report. No spam or snail mail whatsoever. I do believe also that there is a block you can check when you sign into your Onstar acct. that allows you to disable unsolicited email.

The On Star operators must be bored if they do something like this. They should be getting some calls from Chevy Cruze owners soon... lol...

Did you have to give a credit number?

If so they will bill you when the free trail runs out.

That's what I would be concerned with.

I just did it myself and they didn't offer me anything...of course I'm a subscriber to the service already, but I'm entered into their contest. I noted the commercial said we could win "any" GM car or truck of "our" choice. ZR1, here I come.

You are a subscriber! I pressed the OnStar button to check it out on a Truck I was considering purchasing. They offered me 6 months free.

I walk by a trash can on the way from the mail box. I deposit the junk mail before I get inside....
