The vette gets driven. My C5 had 130K when I traded for the C6.

But it was Pewter. I mean with regular waxing, it literally looked new. Not sure how I did not end up with swirls over the years, but I used good microfiber, separate rinse, etc.

I now have a Monterey Red. Totally different animal.

Rejex or Wolfgang sealant A good polymer sealant will protect much longer than a wax.

Rejex, one coat, easy on, easy off, great shine with protection good for 6 months.

Another vote for Rejex. It is slicker than ****. Dirt washes off really easily, easy on and easy off. I have an Enclave, same color code as Monterey Red. Absolutely blinding in the small amount of sun we get in NE Ohio.

most people get confused about this "multi step" thing because on the site he walks you through all the right things to do before applying his polish... those steps apply to any product out there, ie: proper wash, proper clay bar, etc.

you can apply the zfpro and it layers with the next application... a week or month later... his All In one has solvents so it does not layer but does give a great shine and protection.

I use the z5pro..and stack it...

Wolf has it 110% right! I did invest in a Griots DA Orbital that Scott from Autogeek talked me into. Great advice! Used Wolfgang's Glaze followed by one coat of machine applied Z5 ... looks GREAT! i'll layer over the coming weeks.

Ice polish for me. Deepens the color on both my 95' C4 Competition Yellow and '07 C6 Volocity Yellow............. and man is it an easy do.

Of course I show them often so they get the Ice treatment about 3 times per month. I do the glass and black trim with it too.

If you can only apply 1 by hand then get rejex. It lasts longer than anything else and is the most durable I have tried. I like rejex with Pinnacle Souveran on top. I tried Zaino and personally I the shine from 1 coat of Souveran is better than 1 coat of Zaino. I didn't buy this car to waste my time putting 30 coats of wax on it. Have fun and don't forget to wave.

Stay with the NXT based on your specs. If your bored with it, drop the dime on Pinnacle Souveran Carnuba paste. Glides on and off like butter, you'll be done in no time. I'd spray the vette with NXT Speed Detailer first though.

Optimum Poly-Seal or Klasse AIO (PolySeal has some paint-correcting ability though)

The more coats of whatever you use will help prevent the swirl marks that you are talking about. More coats of wax the least chance of it happening in the future, especially for a DD
