Just my 2 cents worth.
Hows this for pop (and no wax/polish/glaze whatsoever on this finish)

I'm not thinking of Jetstream Blue. Supersonic Blue is metallic. It is a $300 premium metallic paint offered as on option on the Corvette website. Pictures of the color taken in direct sunlight show that it is metallic, like Cyber Gray.

Wow, thanks - don't see many of them around but have to take a closer look next time I see one....

So maybe I do like metallics better

Check one out in person on a sunny day. Most of the pictures posted on the forum don't do Supersonic Blue justice. I'm sure most new Supersonic Blue owners will agree!

My only comment is that my BladeSilver Metallic really pops in the Sun. Just like my QuickSilver Metallic Z did.

When I ordered my 09 Vert with Atomic Orange Metallic paint and the car was delivered, the sun just made the car look electric!!!. I put a few coats of Adam's Americana wax and the car looks simply amazing so I'm really into metallics.

The C6 has amazing subtle design contours that reflect best in metallics and are lost in many flat colors, particularly white and yellow, IMO.

"Do Non-Metallic Colors Look Better than Metallics?"

Not IMO but unquestionably there are gorgeous C6's in a variety of colors and finishes including non-metallic paints. I prefer a metallic finish on the C6 (especially Magnetic Red Metallic II). The Corvette C6 is an exciting car and I want 'excitement' in the paint. I like the chameleon like qualities of metallic paints. The car's appearance changes dramatically with different light conditions. In bright sunlight metallic paints come-alive...they pop. No matter which you prefer it's all good! You can't paint the gorgeous out of a C6.

Love my CRM.
It's the first thing everyone comments on when they see the car.

I think the black is meaner looking too. You'd be mean too if you were that plain. At least we all agree on one thing, the crystal red metallic is faster.

I always liked the metallic colors. Are they worth the extra cost?

I got mine off the lot and it was worth it to me.
It's all personal choice but I like the metallic's more.
IMO, considering the extra color cost added to the whole price of a vehicle, it's not an issue

Sorry to bump an old thread... but does anyone know what color this is? Is it even a stock color? It's the solid grey corvette on the first page.

I do think the nonmetalic colors are tougher paints. My 06 MR had chips in the front fascia within the first yr. My 07 AW is chip free after 5 yrs and 84,500 miles. Now the side mirrors are another story.

That's why G-d created clear bras

(69K on my JSB and not a chip to be found)

More partial to solids, but the blues, silvers, some reds look good as metallic. However, black should be black!
