Default WINDSHIELD SCRATCHES from Green Scrubber!!!

When my car was towed, the tow truck company wrote on the windshield. Long story short the writing WOULD NOT come off, so I got a green scrubber and scrubbed it off. Please keep in mind that it was night time when I did this and didnt realize I was scratching the glass. My question is....is it possible to some how take out scratches from a windshield? The scratches arent deep, if you scratch them, your fingernail does not catch.

???????????????

Man, sounds like you had a really bad experience with your Vette between the towing, damage from the towing, and now, scratches on your windshield. There may be a product that will minimize the appearance of the scratches. I'd contact Autogeek or a similar company. There is a kit called Lake County glass polishing kit. I think there is a thread on this forum about using the kit.
Best of luck. I feel your pain.

There's another kit that starts with the letter D that repairs surface scratches on windshields too. Also sold by AutoGeek. I've seen pics after this kit was used and it looked like new glass (if not better) but it wasn't a cheap kit. Good luck!

--EDIT--
I guess the product I was talking about wont work for that but might be a good aftercare product.

If you can feel the scratches with your fingernail, you will not be able to polish them out.

Before you spend money on kits, why not have it looked at by a good autoglass shop.

How does one go about that - I mean from my experience, these kinds of companies tend to crop up, remain in business for a short time and either go out of business or move. There aren't many/any that appear to be in the "good" category.

End of rant............

Try some toothpaste. It can work if scratches aren't too deep.
