Default My New 4 Post Lift is IN

Well, it came today and I couldn't be happier with my purchase and the install. I settled on the Bendpak HD-9. It's a 9K lbd lift. I ordered the aluminum approach ramps since I'll be the one taking them on and off. I also ordered the drip pans but they set the ramps on the widest setting for the ZR1 and the pans won't fit. I also had ordered the casters for moving the lift around. But in the end, after thinking about it, I went ahead and had them bolt it down. I didn't want it moving any when driving up on it and scratching the paint on my floor. I had them fit it for 110V. My little air compressor is plenty big for bringing it down.

I talked to a Bendpak rep and he recommended this lift for my garage size. I only have 9'6" of ceiling clearance and lose at least 3" of that with lighting. They put me in touch with a guy in California. I told him what I was looking for, and that I needed it installed. I didn't want it shipped to me or hubby's work. It would never have gotten put in if I'd done that.

He found 3 installers close to me (remember I live in BFE). The cheapest was $700 - they received the lift, came out here installed it, showed me how to use it, made sure the cars fit perfectly, cleaned up everything afterwards, totally professional, super nice guys. I was VERY impressed with them.

I have to say, we were worried that the ZR1's side skirts might not clear the approach but it had 1 - 1 1/2" to spare.

SO, here it is. And you know why I had to have this - because I had my Excursion professionally detailed and it looks like new. I just couldn't leave it out in the elements anymore. We only built a carport on the house but now it's all safe and sound inside. The lift will help me do a little more wheel detailing as well.

The TEST!

They both fit perfectly....

And finally, the whole reason for the lift.

Seriously? Like, really? You have enough equity in your garage to buy my house 4 times

Nice! I keep kicking myself for overlooking the garage height issue, when I built my house! I was thinking far enough ahead to go extra deep (26' deep x 30' wide). But let them build it to the standard height. (8')
Fortunately, I have enough room to build the ultimate cave one day! (3 acres)
I love the lift you have, and wrote down the model name. Is there a model number? You just squeezed under the ceiling there! Well done.

That is a nice setup, it creates a mental note for me about ceiling height when building my shop.

You must work for the federal government to afford all these goodies.
Very nice.

If the husband would stop buying then I would too. I get equal spending - its only fair. Don't drink, smoke, use drugs - my cars are my downfall.

Yeah - I knew I had plenty of length and width. My worry was height but this just does fit. The light may have to go or be turned sideways. I've got tape on the lift to tell me where to stop it.

BEN 558178 is what shows on the invoice - that's the HD-9 with the 110V.

Very nice.
No but worked plenty of long hours and overtime for big oil. Never had any kids, never paid anyone to do anything for me, no maid, no lawn person, etc. Now it's my turn to have some fun.

Thanks guys. I'm very proud of it.

Thanks for the model# , Lisa.
You SHOULD be proud. No need to have to defend your lifestyle. You've both done well for yourselves! Enjoy!

Lisa, I was waiting for this (I saw your FB post).

That is awesome and I'm so happy for you. You also give me hope as I only have 9'8" in my garage and was hoping to see an install in a height challenged garage such as mine.....and you've done it.

When are you coming back to see us in BG? We miss you.

Paul
