Default Help help.05 c6 a6.abs light always on reduce power

Can some people help my 05 is having all kinds of problems im at my end here, the abs light stays on and the tc button doesnt do anything and when i try to go up hills or pass it goes into reduce engine mode. And i get stranded alot when i go somewhere and get back to car it turns over but doesnt crank. And then it will just crank after awhile. I have took it to dealer after dealer. They said they did a recall on something and adjusted the tps at the throttle body. Can anyone help this has been going on for a year.

Do you get any other messages like service traction control, active handling, service abs?. If the battery is getting weak it will make the car do stuipd things. My guess is your body control module is bad. That is a common problem on 05-06 Corvettes.

I had a 05 that turn all the lights on and went into reduced power and it was the body control module.

To assist I'd say we need a list of the codes that are in your car.
ABS light must be setting a code.
You also don't state if the Vette is unmodified and/or never in an accident.
Also can you DIY; do you have a service manual?

BCM ... could very well be the issue.

Without more info...all I could offer is to check the connections (for example at the fuse box under the pass foot well, the module under the battery tray) to modules all over the vehicle. Possible water intrusion, rust, vibration looseness, broken or pinched wire.

And of course...make sure you have a new battery since it is an 05 as you begin diagnosis.

If the car is an 05 with only 18K miles on it, it's quite likely it needs a new car battery.

Lift the left rear corner of the car and make sure that the BCM ground wire is securely connected. It comes out of the rear panel below the tail lights and leads forward to a bolt above and slightly behind the axle on the inner fender wall. If that gets loose it can cause the problems (especially cutting out) that you are describing.

Has your concern been resolved? I would be happy to look into this for you as well with the last eight of your VIN. Please keep me posted either way. Thank you.

But should the tps read up to 100% by pushing gas pedal. It jumps around and goes to about 30. And if i move the tb blades it reads steady to 100% AS LONG AS I DONT MASH THE GAS DOWN IT WANT GO INTO REDUCE POWER. BUT EVEN IN NEUTRAL IT WILL IF I MASH THE GAS TO REV UP.

TPS Readings.
All I could find in the service manual was Under Engine Controls.

The TP sensors are used to measure throttle plate angle.

TP sensor 1 signal voltage at closed throttle is above 4 volts and decreases as the throttle plate is opened.

TP sensor 2 signal voltage at closed throttle is below 1 volts and increases as the throttle plate is opened.

In this same section there is mention of the TAC System (Throttle Actuator Control).
If there is a condition with the TAC system, the ECM may enter reduced power mode.

The TAC system includes:
Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) sensors
Throttle Body Assembly
Engine Control Module (ECM)

The TAC system performs:
Accelerator pedal position sensing
Throttle position sensing
Throttle position to meet driver & engine demands
Internal diagnostics
Cruse control functions
Manage TAC electrical power consumptions.

FWIW - Ice (cold weather) and Battery Saver mode also affect the TAC system.
