Default Question for tall (6'3" +) C6 MN6 owners

I'm in the market for a C6 and tried out an '08 with a manual transmission last week. I noticed that as I depressed the clutch pedal, my shin tended to bump up against the lower portion of the dashboard and was fairly uncomfortable.

Is that your experience or did I maybe have my seat in the wrong position? Can the pedals be adjusted to a lower position or something? I'm thinking I'd love to have a manual shifter but not if I come away with bruised shins all the time.

No problem here. As a matter of fact, I don't even have to recline the seat all the way back and I have some room to slide the seat back if I need.

6'4" here, and I've never bumped my shin. Took me a week or 2 to find the steering wheel position that gave me room to shift and brake without knocking my knees on the wheel, buy it's all natural now.

I am 6'3" and had no problem in our 09 3lt coupe z51 option with mz6. What type power seats do you have as that may be the problem. With the 3lt maybe they position better than a 1lt or 2lt as i had plenty of room, just a thought.

6'5" stick '08 no problem. You need to play with the seat to get it in a comfortable position.

6'5'' here, too. It took a couple of weeks to find just the right combination of seat track, recline, and steering wheel adjustment. Once you find the sweet spot you're set. I was even able to duplicate it at Spring Mountain, with their cars, but it's very tight with the helmet on. If I go back to SM I will buy the thinnest shelled helmet available.

I'm 6'3" and never had a problem with my legs in the Vette. Adjust the seat to a proper position and you shouldn't have a problem.

Now my head against the roof is a different story.

How fuc*king tall are you giants? Damn...6'4", Id have taken my high school quaterback gig into the NFL at that height. Im a lowly 6'0". I can actually contribute to this thread however. My buddy is 6'6" and recently sat in my Z06. He couldn't believe how much room there was. He said the hardest part was getting in and out FWIW

6', 8" here. Fit okay in my 07, although it is a 3LT A6 and not a M6. Try removing the dead pedal. If I remember correctly, it's 2 Metric 10 bolts. Came right off and now I have plenty of room for the left leg.

6'5" here. No problem but the rear view mirror is in the way and the toes of my big feet keep getting snagged by something when I hit the clutch unless I wear thin shoes. Drive it every day and really don't notice this stuff.

Thank you all for your thoughtful and timely responses.

Looks like I'm headed down to my local dealer to see again how I can make that seat adjustment work for these long legs of mine. Great to know that a manual is a possibility for me.

I'm 6'3" and I had the same problem when I first got my GS. But after playing around with the seat settings and simply getting used to sitting a little differently, I fit and function just fine.

One thing to consider beyond height. If you have very long legs, I could see a potential problem.

As for me, I am 6'3" talk and weigh 285 lbs. It shocks most, but I have no trouble....The only issue I have is with those cheap seats....
