Doubt if you wish, but they certainly were aftermarket replicas. Dealers install replica or aftermarket wheels on brand new unsold cars all the time.

GM doesn't make Z06 wheels in standard coupe sizes.

OK, thanks. I guess I doubted because in 2006 the C6 had only been out for a year, and I didn't know that dealers were installing replicas back then.

So you agree with me that these are standard size wheels, and not Z06 wheels, right?

Yes. Definitely just "Z06 style" wheels, and *not* actual Z06 wheels. In standard coupe sizes, and near, but not exact, standard offsets, from the looks of the wheel position in the well.

Those "aftermarket style z06 wheels" are ace slick alloys.

Those are definitely ACE SLICK wheels. They are 1" wider than stock wheels. (9.5" in the front and 11" in the back).

They are made to fit the base C6 with slightly different offsets than OEM C6 wheels.

I had a set of hyper black (which is actually silver) ones on my car for several years. They ran me about $800 for a full set.

Mine are aftermarket Z06 style wheels with Base Coupe offsets and sizes.
Front wheel size: 18x8.5 offset: +56 mm

Rear Wheel size: 19x10 offset: +79 mm

You buy aftermarket from lot's of vendors including most of the Forum vendors.
House of wheels, Corvette Central, Tire rack, etc.

The question that asks whether or not OEM Z06 or GS wheels will fit properly on a base model C6 has been asked many many times here .... And the answer is always the same ... No they won't unless you are happy if they stick out of the wheel wells.

Just my opinion, but I think the mods on this forum should make this thread a sticky, so it will be available for any [new] C6 Corvette owner to read.

But, as the OP's photo shows ... There are always aftermarket Z06 'style' wheels that provide for the correct offset for the base C6's

Looks like this guy has oem z06 wheels on a base - I don't think it looks too bad:

On second thought....

I had some stock z06 wheels on mine before. back will stick out 1 inch front will be like 1/4 of an inch. If you do go with it I recommend stretching your stock tires on the z06 wheels it will help it blend into the fenders, doesn't look as bad as the original size z06 tires. I don't have too good of pictures to show you what it would look like but I do have this one <br >

Default Z06 wheels on base 2006 Corvette Wheels for sale

I just purchased a 2006 base model with the factory z06 wheels installed on it. I did not know it would be a problem until I just bottomed out..... Fender damage. I would like to sell the z06's and go back to standard size wheels. Does anyone know where I might be able to sell these tires and rims? Brand new Michelin Pilot RF's on the back 335 25zr 20's and tri ace Carrera 285 30r 19 on the front only 2k on these. Any help would be appreciated.

Necro-thread... But are they C7 Z06 wheels? I think the C6 only had 19/20 with the Cup wheel options on the last couple years of the C6Z... Either way they should be easy to sell on here, in the classifieds, and should cover the cost of a set of base size wheels!

Heck wish I could buy them from you, as my C6Z has C6 GS wheels on it from the previous owner and I am not a huge fan of the style. Good luck!

I have a base c6 and did a wide body rear conversion with Z06 rims all around. I used the stock 245 tires on the Z06 rims and they did not rub at all but do stick out about 1/4 inch. I ran this for a few months and ended up getting base size Z06 replicas for the front.
