A lot of pictures already of base body with TSW Nurburgring, but here is some more pictures with more info. I wanted to upgrade my oem brake calipers because I dont like them, I dont think they look good an a sportscar. Its the same looking as of calipers on slow 4 door sedans. The plan was to upgrade to Z06 (J56) calipers and rotors so I bought some TSW Nurburgring 18" and 19" with 255/35 and 295/30, can use stock tires. Z06 (J56)calipers have clearance in these rims without spacers. ET 50 front and 65 rear.
After some thinking and looking on the Z06 (J56) calipers I dont like the look of these calipers eighter because og the visible brake pins on side of caliper. So one of the next options I was thinking of was the ZR1 (J57) brake upgrade, and bought grey calipers and and some ceramic rotors, because of the size of the calipers and rotors you need to change front rim also to 19", sold my rims and bought 19" front and rear. 9" ET 50 and 10.5 ET 65.
The rims are very strong and light, the spokes are very thin and the construction on the rim give clearance to the massive ZR1 (J57) caliper without spacer. I also made custom center caps of pairing the stock centercaps with some oem C6 centercaps.
Have not pictures yet of the conversion, as I not have done this yet as its winter here.

In case others are interested in the larger brake upgrades. The WCC forged wheels I have clear the Z06 brakes.

My new setup on my '07 Z51:
Super Pilots on TSW Gunmetal Nurburgring's . . .
18x9 f . . . 255/40/18
19x10.5 r . . 295/35/19
2-tone Powder Coated Calipers/Brackets
BrakeMotive zinc rotors
*A little help though. I would like to possibly lower the rear a little to match the gap of the front. Is it hard and will it affect the nanny's? Only would do it on the stock bolts, which I think I heard would only be 1/2" or so??? Also, would that require a new alignment?

Thanks for the response Jaime, however, not a hijack at all. Posted my aftermarket wheels/setup per the thread title and also just asking a question since its related, to those who would know. Our good members can either make a simple response or pm me.

Not a problem at all Jaime and all's good . Been here a long time and have seen hi-jacking, troll's, etc. and this is within the same topic of the thread (I feel). Learning along the way and related questions have always been fine. The OP shouldn't mind, but if he does, I'll politely retract my question. Alot of great looking vettes and was just a quick question to those who have also lowered when they made their wheel/tire change. Btw, good looking Jetstream .

Would love to see the new brake set-up when you have them on!
