Most people can look out the window of an airliner and not have any issues; being in free fall is the same. However, if you put those same people on a ladder or on the edge of the building or cliff, and I bet they'd freak just like me. I actually get vertigo so badly in those situations, that it feels like my head is falling off and landing below my feet, and my fingers and toes are full of soda water.
Can I be at the edge of a building? Sure, but it's a case of determination being stronger than physical and mental imperatives. I actually get vertigo from Youtube videos of people wandering around on the edge of buildings.

It's not the same kind of heights.

You do look like him for sure. He may be a "B" Actor, but he has appeared in hundreds of films with bit parts. His better roles are in the Da Vinci Code as Captain Bezu Fache. His name is Jean Reno, and he has also appeared in Pink Panther 1-2 playing opposite Steve Martin.

.308, a great old cartridge, good for battle, sniping, hunting, target shooting. I've been out of touch with the gun world for a good 15 years, so I don't even know what kind of rifle you have.
Here is a .308 FN-FAL I built out of parts. It would empty the 20-round mag as fast as you could pull the trigger, never jammed. I sold it a few years ago when our wonderful governor decided to make people like me a felon if I didn't register it or get rid of it, so I sold it along with a couple of SKSs. Oh well, don't care anymore.

That was quite a few years ago, but as I recall it wasn't any worse than your average 12 gauge. It's a recoil-operated semiauto and weighs something like 30-35 pounds, so it wasn't that bad.

Nice rifle, yeah that AR-10 was pieced together by parts as well. Also I started a gun thread in the Off Topic section of this forum.
