I've been online for over two decades, and this always amazes me: After some time posting with other people, I get a mental image of what that person looks like. The image is probably made up from random, subconscious thoughts based on their avatar, their screen name, what they may say in posts, etc.
More often than not, the person doesn't look anything like what I think! This thread was a big reminder.

Does this happen to anyone else?
Exactly my reason for staring the thread. For example, I just knew you looked like a movie star. But seriously, I had a mental picture in my head of all the regulars and I was wrong on every mental image

Thanks Cable-Bud. Not sure about the movie star thing (there's a lot of UGLY movie stars!) but it's nice to get confirmation that other people get these (usually wrong) mental images too.
And in post #2, Vette DD predicted this thread would crash and burn. Wow, has to be the hottest one in C6 General today!
You do look like him for sure. He may be a "B" Actor, but he has appeared in hundreds of films with bit parts. His better roles are in the Da Vinci Code as Captain Bezu Fache. His name is Jean Reno, and he has also appeared in Pink Panther 1-2 playing opposite Steve Martin.
LOL, yeah I know he played in quite a few others; didn't know about the ones you mentioned but I do remember seeing him in "Ronin." I guess my lengthy, derogatory description of him was probably meant to be self-deprecating more than anything else -- if people think I look like him, now including you too. BTW, a few pages back you posted you and your wife -- another nice-looking couple!

Oh yea? What did you imagine me to look like? Haha i know i haven't got on much, but you are right. For example I thought nsf was a lot older than he looked. When i was 18 i worked in a supermarket and there was a 70 something year old man there. He had a deeper voice, with a smart phone, down to earth. He was the coolest guy there. That's how i imagined him.
Now i saw nsf for the first time, he looks like a young stud! I was HONESTLY suprised!

I had no mental image of you (as you said, you're not here much) but I knew you were young -- mostly by your name. There aren't any (?) old guys named "Jaime"!!!
NSF is a good guy, a bit cranky at times but understandable, being a desert rat.

Ah, a crotch rocket. It must be a generational thing; I never cared for their looks. I did buy a new 1984 V65 Honda Magna, which was quite fast for the time (quarter in high 10s) but was styled more after a Harley, although was actually ugly next to one.
It looked just like this one from online, same color too:
