Adding Stripes to my C6 Grand Sport !!!!!
I am considering adding Hood,Roof,DeckLid & Rear Spoiler Stripes to my INFERNO ORANGE Grand Sport
The car will have ZR1 Skirts and ZR1 Splitter (Carbon Flash) and Ron Fellows Spoiler
I also have SIGNATURE SV701 Brushed Alum, Clear Coated Wheels
At www.VetteStripes.com I'm attracted to the SE3 Stripes or the ME3 Stripes as pictured Below
I'm asking to SEE your Aftermarket C6 WideBody Stripes either here or Email to
CamarosRus@geeeemale.com

Though can look nice, I'm not a fan of decals. If your car sees a lot of sun they'll end up photo'd into the clear coat or worse. If allowed to crack, they'll greatly damage what's underneath.
If mostly a garage queen, then prolly fine.

Biggest problem was rock chips......had to put new stripes on every other year. So no worries about them cracking like the old vinyl used to do.
Now I have painted halo, targa , spoiler and mirrors but still have rock chip issues. Had my side mirrors repainted.

I'm the OP on this thread.....I never pulled the trigger on purchasing stripes from VetteStripes.com
Still interested but just so difficult to decide on BEST Color and Exact Design for my below Grand Sport
Thanks for your thoughts, ideas comments
Car mostly garaged...doesnt sit in sun
I'm liking the ABOVE Black or Silver Vettes with SOLID Hood Stripe
Hood, NO Roof or Halo, Then Deck Lid and Rear Facia but Nothing on Spoiler
OR Maybe the Roof and Halo also ??????????
AND THEN...What Color for the Vinyl...The Front Splitter and Skirts
are GLOSS Carbon Flash, where the Wheel Well Flares, A Pillar, Cowl
are the OE (no gloss) Black Plastic....so Im inclined to use a Non Gloss
"Blackish" Vinyl Strip .....But unsure how to maintain and keep fresh looking
as its not paint............
Your Thoughts ???????

Stripes can look good if done right, the 1990s era GS had them and they looked great, but I would not use decals. If I was gonna do it i'd have them painted on.

Both the C2 Grand Sport and the 1996 Grand Sport had racing stripes. GM should have put them on the C6 Grand Sports from the get go.

I'm glad that you didn't do it.

I like racing stripes if done well
Nothing nicer to me then a blue car with white stripes, or white car with blue stripes
I also have an inferno orange and would love to get some white stripes for it someday
But it has to flow with the cars theme, until I get some wheels and figure out how to lower the car (mrc suspension ) then its gonna stay as it is

I'd say go with the silver stripes. Orange has basically the same color options available as red, white, black (possibly charcoal gray), or silver, and I gave mine a lot of thought before I decided on silver. You could pull black off as well, but if you really want it to pop go with silver. If you want understated, go with the black. I wouldn't go with white; it just wouldn't look good imo.
