Jabcat, you have to look at the whole enchilada, lol You have a partial black hood, mirrors, black wheels, black decals on the doors, blacked out side markers, after market black headlights, tail lights, black license plate, the word Calloway. So you can't say nothing is black on the back end of the car, lol. You have black on every panel / corner except the upper rear deck. Anyway, in my opinion, a black or carbon fiber ZR1 Extreme type spoiler would look awesome.
You mean like this?

And it's funny some folks mention "factory" because my ZR1 came from the factory with carbon fiber on everything but the spoiler. I loved the carbon fiber look with the Jetstream Blue which is why I've been slowly matching my Grand Sport to a similar look (except in a convertible).

If my car weren't a Carbon, I'd prefer body-color mirrors so that everything above the side emblems is body color. Like my previous GS.

Sorry, I have to be the odd guy here, but I like the car as-is without all those protrusions coming out in all directions. It is a bit much for my taste.

"Protrusions"? You mean the functional aerodynamics add-ons that help to stabilize the car at speed?

Yep!

They may start to contribute at 100mph, but my taste much prefers smoother lines over better aerodynamics at speeds I would almost never experience. I suppose some of the attraction is that the car is visually ready for such speeds. I get that. Awe heck, I bought a GS, I suppose in part with similar thinking.

I absolutely love the color today, but I was luke-warm on it when I bought it. I looked for months for a GS M6 in Jetstream Blue, but to no avail. When this one popped up for sale, I figured "It's not red, it's not black, and it's not yellow, so why not!"

The Inferno Orange caught my attention, but my wife felt differently.

I ordered my 2013 with the ZR1 spoiler. Never did like the little black thingy that the 3rd brake light was in.

I've received more compliments on the color than I have on any other car I've owned, so now I am a huge fan of the color. While Corvettes will often attract comments from guys, it's the women that offer compliments on the color. And I'll take those compliments...

Well, more like 130+. I was a bit skeptical until I did it to my Z06 which regularly saw speeds above that. At around 140ish, I could literally feel the lighter nose like the car wanted to take flight. Once I installed the DRM Bilstein shocks and added the ZR1 aero, it was stable all the way to ~184 when I finally shut it down because I was running out of road. That's the beautiful thing about Texas: there's a lot of long, straight roads out in the middle of nowhere. And, of course, there's the Texas Mile. I had the same exhilarating experience with my ZR1, which came with all those protrusions from the factory.

Granted, those days are done for me (especially since I have a convertible), but I still wanted to capture that look from my ZR1. I made sure to install the fascia reinforcement when I did, so it's functional aero in theory. I think I'll draw the line at putting in a windowed hood and a supercharged LS9 engine, though. But that might not stop me from bolting on some type of supercharger at some point. What's holding me back is that experience with my Z06. All the problems started when I started modifying it, and it became an incessant money pit.

Anyway, I digress. Back to our regularly scheduled programming.

It's a beautiful color for sure. But I had to deal with the same "wife factor" that Ron did. She loves the Jetstream Blue. She actually loved the Carlisle Blue better, but that wasn't happening on a ZR1 anytime soon, so I settled for the JSB. And then I sold it (like a fool). The Grand Sport will just have to suffice.

Surely it is a matter of taste. I personally appreciate how our color matching small one flows across the back. The ZR1 makes the big rear, bigger yet.

The small ones were all black. Yours has been painted. I had mine color matched a few years ago.

So the one I have was color-matched after the fact? I would not have known. I assumed it left the factory this way.

To my knowledge they were all black. GM did offer painted ones as an accessory. Also vendors offer these paint to match. Yours may be oem just after the fact purchase. I had my original black one painted by a local body shop

Ill be one of the few on here that prefers gloss black all around. To me it just breaks up the solid color. Especially on Arctic White. But then again, I also dont like chrome either

My preference is a color matched spoiler and the side skirts matte black to match the rest of the trim.
