Heck, even in this super hot Texas heat, with cold plugs (TR6's), now only using 26* of timing, A/F in the 12.6 to 12.8 range and IAT readings in the 100's, my car still pulls 495 and 499rwhp! ALL on 93 pump gas!!!
We decided to leave a few ponies on the table until this heat goes away. Once it cools off a little (into the low 90's and mid 80's), then the more aggressive tune will be back onboard.
Thanks.

Ranger,
I spoke to Carmen and he said Dave's Nasty C6 Z06 has a Custom Vette Doctor aftermarket clutch that they are in the final stages of experimenting with (it is holding up very well under the increased power) but have the stock rear end components as of now.

I'll be looking for a better clutch than the stock LS7 at some point. So the Vette Doctor's custom clutch is interesting to me.
On the rear, the axle shafts have been the weak link, even on stock C6Z. If his car was built May 06 or later, he would have the latest shafts (fourth iteration for MY 2006) with the again-revised CV joint housing cover. If so, his rear may have a chance. Hope to see some reports in the coming months.
Appreciate the follow up.

I do believe Dave and Paul Major have the latest Shafts with the updated CV joint housings. I know both had issues (broken) early on when the cars were stock and they were replaced by Carmen within the past few months (late spring).
Maybe Paul or Carmen can comment further since I am going off memory.
