Default wcc 946EXT wheels NIGHTMARE!!!!

So I bought the WCC 946 exts with nitto invos for my 08 z06. Clean install but the dealer said there were no sensors installed. SO I bought the TPM tool myself and started to program them (there WERE sensors installed) and i got a horn chirp from the first three sensors and when i got to the fourth it wouldnt see it and then the nightmare started........now the vehicle wont see any fobs.....there is a relay clicking sound under the hood.....the rear lights are flashing dim of course it wont start and its just going haywire!!!!! I am waiting on a tow right now ill let you know what the dealer says.

Sounds like your battery is dead - had you not used the car for a while or left something on inside it?

Also a word of advice - before you start to reprogram all your sensors, make sure the batteries in the programmer are healthy! I found this out via a 1/2 hour of frustration

Amen and I have felt your pain! New battery in the programmer tool and finally getting the last sensor to set by putting the inside of the rim.

thanks everyone....it WAS the battery but the tire pressure sensors still wont work....been to two dealers in San Antonio and still nothing...... buyer beware of West Coast Corvettes and the sensors they "put" in their wheels.

Did W.C.C. mount the tires? That where/ when most sensors are damaged...

Have you tryed trigering sensor through the tire instead of the rim? They are towards the center of the rim on bands if they are WCC rims usually.I had to do that with a set of them years ago.

I was told you can't trigger them through the wheel - it has to be via the tire at the interface of the tire and wheel. You can't trigger via the tire tread because of the steel belt. When I tried through the wheel it would trigger the light and it would flash faster like it was going to work but it would never trigger the sensor.

I had the same problem with the HRE's - do you know exactly where the sensors are mounted? When they are banded deep in the wheel they can be very hard to pick up - I went through 2 9v batteries while trying to set the sensors. I could get first three to trigger from the standard position but I had to do the last wheel from the inside. You can actually have the wheels unbolted and on the ground in the wheel well to make it easier if you need to. I spent over an hour trying to get the last sensor to trigger.

Sorry, no pictures. The wheels came with mounting hardware, basically a band that goes around the whole wheel that straps the sensor to the wheel.

I purchased GM wheels from WCC but put stock GM wheel sensors in from my local dealer. These are my track wheels, never had a problem programming them with the Bartech.
I'd try switching to GM sensors.
Good luck
