Pretty common if it's an 08 or newer. I've read about people getting anywhere from new syncros, to a new tranny. Take it in and get it looked at.

its 06' i have taken it in 3 times they say we drove it there's no problem we don't know what your talking about. So finally i told the general manager to get in and ill show you so i get on it hard from 1st to 2nd and it grinds, so he says oh your driving the car to hard you can't wind the rpm's out that high. I said to him Sr. if I paid to owned a c6 zo6 and it doesn't run properly then what's the point of having it? Oh well there's nothing we can do for you. So I don't know what to do. Could it be a clutch problem or could it be something more serious? And if it is more serious how much would new syncros cost?
thanks again guys for your help

He's full of it.
It sounds like it's out of warranty. I'm not sure what syncro's run, but I'm sure someone will chime in.

Bring it down to me ill have my buddy that works at a dealer look at it. IF there is anything slightly wrong he will replace it. If he does and it still does it its probably the clutch.

Del Chevy in Paoli has a very good mechanic who mostly just works on Vettes, including mine. Ask Mark in their Service Department to have Joe take a look at it.

I'm very surprised. I've had two Corvettes, a 2002 Suburban and a 2008 Tahoe all serviced at Del...and I will be taking my new '09 ZO6 there as well. Mark and Joe have provided me with excellent service and have never let me down.

Did Joe work on your car?

When you get back up there, call the service department and ask for Mark. Then ask Mark to have Joe work on your car.

I've never had a problem with them, and I'm real surprised you're disappointed.

When you call, tell Mark that Brooks said for you to contact him directly for help, and to have Joe work on your car. Del has been doing a lot of warranty work on Chevy's bought at other dealers, as well as other GM Brands. They are one of the good ones, and the primary reason I stick with Chevy products.

Good Luck.
