Default Burned up my fan connector ....

()*$^*($*(

yet another example of "you have to pay to play". My cooling fan stopped working .... found out the fan connector was melted. Tech said the APR splitter was blocking too much air flow (80% ... LOL BS) causing the fan to run all the time and melt the connector. Thats BS ... but what is true is that I have a tune (w/ fan ajustment) that DOES cause the fan to run on high almost all the time. I'm almost positive that tune is what caused the connector to melt.

Either way ... if your fan runs too much apparently you will melt the connector. Seems odd that the fan can run long enough to overrun the design of the plug ... Fug ....

yep thats what I figure. Just find it odd that the connector will melt if the fan runs too long. Seems the wiring is too small and creates too much resitance if it is heating the connector up that much.

Yup, running your fan @ 100% will fry the wires. All tuners know this as it isn't new news. Never more than 80% from now on.

Great ... I'm sure that will be an additional "tuning" charge. Good to confirm however ... thanks!

I have had my fans running all the time for three years on my 07 and never had a problem. I will keep an eye on the connector.
