I just received my M2W switch from you and installed it this week. I had one in my 08 Z06 so I'm familiar with the install and function. My question is this: with the switch open and engine deaccelerating, I've noticed a "popping" sound like a small backfire. Is this normal or have I installed it incorrectly? Any ideas? I didn't have this issue with the Z06.

Mild 2 Wild for C6
Hi There!
Can someone please help me with the Mild2Wild switch? I have a
C6 with a Z51 exhaust. Will the Mild2Wild switch work on my Vette? If not, is there another product I can order that is similar to it?
Thank you,
Cassandra

Cassandra,
I don't think the M2W switch applies in your case. I had a c6 z51 and there were no butterflies in the tailpipes.
Just look at your mufflers on top of your tailpipes. If you see what looks like little plungers (one per muffler) then you can use the M2W.
Hope this helps.

Mild 2 Wild for C6
Absolutely! I'm getting mine installed on Saturday morning down in Houston. Keep me posted on your rumble! The louder the better, as far as I'm concerned. (That's why I love drag racing!)

Installed the M 2 Wild yesterday. Had it previously on ZO6. I love it! Sounds like a big block instead of a caprice! Way cool, and so easy to do!
When it idles, it is intimidating !!

Actually not entirely correct....It does give you control of the flaps in your exhaust which does make an awesome exhaust note.
The drain in your battery is not much more than that of a digital car clock or some other accessory like that. The BCM in you car drains the battery also. Even though your Vette is parked and off, there are some devices that still pull a little current, the M2W switch is one of them. If you drive your car every 2-3 weeks or have it in a trickle charger, you will never have a problem.
We also include an alternate installation method that is a zero drain setup where is draws current from the seat heater circuit which is switched off the ignition. (so when the car is off the device cannot pull any current).
I recommend using the standard installation unless you leave your car parked for many weeks at a time without a charger or starting it. If you do leave it for weeks at a time, get a trickle charger whether you have a M2W switch or not. My personal experience is the C6 is good without a M2W switch for about 4 weeks before the battery will not have enough juice to crank.
Thanks,
Jim

Because with the M2W you are driving around with them open more. The way the mufflers are designed, the inner tips have flow the the outer tips (hence the sound difference when open) thus causing more exhaust soot on the tips......

OK, will order that one tomorrow morning - thanks. The M2W was sent out this afternoon according to the email I got. Easy to install yourself. I get the ZR1 on Saturday, M2W goes in on Sunday!
Once I recover from the cash outlay shock of buying the car on Sat (no payments) I am gonna think about the Akro exhaust. I do NOT plan to mod this car much and want it to stay under warranty. Any idea how much h/p added on a ZR-1? I believe it adds 12-15 on a Z06...
Thanks...
