Z44 Will Cooskey, need help with value
Hey guys, I just bought a Z44 car over the weekend, I will not say a price, or list what number car, just that it has 6k miles and is flawless, I have seen a couple out there floating around for sale, the prices seem a little outrageous to me, what would you think a fair market price for this car would be?

3 to 5k more than an equally equiped '08, and I say 5k at the very outside if you had a buy specifically looking for the right one.
Those ones floating around ebay at 70-80k is laughable.
I paid $59 for mine last year with 1200 miles on it, and I think that was in the ballpark then.
There really is no extra value on the number of the car, IMHO, unless maybe #1 which you won't get, then maybe #427 or #505 after that they are all the same.
Does your car have NAV?

I turned on Speed Channel last week and they had a special Corvette edition of Barrett Jackson auction. I think #427 Cooskey sold for ~ $200,000. I don't know WHEN that happened because the show was an edited from several auctions.

depends on the condition. I've seen low mileage "showroom quality garage queens" with tons of swirls and frame damage cause the shitforbrains owner had more money than common sense. i'll never buy a used car sight unseen. ebay, kbb, edmunds, nada, auction a, b, c, etc are just guides. a car is worth whatever it brings. there's an *** for every seat.

only reason I ask is am a dealer, and I want to be sure I price it correctly and not try to rip someones head off like the others that are price at 60K + with more mileage.
Thanks for all the info and incite guys, soon as I have title in hand I will be listing it in the for sale section.

Here is Edmunds complete estimate, however, as you know the actual market will set the price.
Trade-In, Private Party, Dealer Retail
National Base Price $51,996 $54,205 $56,163
Optional Equipment $642 $715 $867
Voice Activated Nav System $642 $715 $867
Color Adjustment - Dark Red $132 $137 $142
Regional Adjustment - for 76106 $-77 $-81 $-84
Mileage Adjustment - 6,000 miles $1,404 $1,404 $1,404
Condition Adjustment - Outstanding $2,348 $2,329 $2,471
Total $56,445 $58,709 $60,963
Of course, color adjustment & optional eq are part of the deal and should be removed, so base, Nav, Mileage and condition should only be considered.

Sorry for the short thread hijack .

Someone is stupid if they bought #427 because they thought it matched the 427 displacement because Wil Cooksey vettes are actually 428 CI.

Not making a judgement here, but doesn't anyone find it a little odd that a dealer is asking for an estimate of value on a car he is selling? I would think a dealer would have far more experience and resources to set a selling price than even the most jaded of Vette owners….IMHO

Cooksey, Ron Fellows, or any of the SE z06s are at most $1-5k above a normal non-se of the same year options. They are not that special or that different.
