Default 2008 corvette Z06 3500 miles

I am thinking of selling my 2008 corvette Z06, Black, 3LZ, Chrome, Navi, two tone interior ebony/linen. The car is stock except for mild/wild, lloyd floor/cargo mats.
What is a good price? I was thinking 55K.Thinking of making the jump to a ZR1.

I seriously doubt you will get $55K for it. My 2LZ only cost me ~$56K in December of 2008 with 5K miles. And I bought it from a dealer, not a private party. I don't think the 3LZ option will bring all that much more relatively speaking.

Good luck with the sale. I suspect the offers you get will be around the $45K range.

nice unmolested car (except for the license plate bracket) i'd reject every $45k offer and shoot for $50k+ stick it on craigslist and the bay if you have to.

45K for a quick and painless sale. Ask more, and you may risk keeping it until winter, where you will have to give it away. 3LZ adds nothing to KBB or NADA values.

$45K "is" giving it away...

I'd say $55K is a very reasonable start. The KBB is just a guide when it comes to an example like this. Although the 3LZ package is not listed in the book, it's certainly a very desirable and valuable feature to many.

IMO you shouldn't be far off at $55K...

Of course we all have our opinions... I believe that you were VERY lucky with a Canadian buyer (where there are not many Corvettes around, and the ones that are around do cost more in Canada), but you also had a 680-mile car, but with a proven hard color to sell, which I DO happen to love. The KBB and NADA values are usually actually over optimistic. I guess that he can try 55K, and see what happens. FYI, I was offered a brand new 09 3LZ in March of this year for 57K. I guess that if there is anyone willing to pay 55K for an 08, which is now four model years old, then more power to the seller. I would sell mine today, if anyone offered that amount or anywhere near it.

I think a very low mileage 3LZ such as yours will definitely be worth $53k+ at the lowest. I'm sure there are cheaper Z's out there with more miles, but you seem to have a beautiful Z.

Good luck with the sale.

I am thinking $52k should get it done.

You shouldn't have to go below 50k. Most buyers prefer an 08 I'd think due to the upgraded interior and transmission.

Having purchased mine recently and specifically wanting an 08, you're not far off. Low mile 08's are listed for 54-58k. Up here in Ontario, 08's go from 55-62k. Me personally, I'd pay a tad more for a stock low mile one which is what I got, in the color and wheels I wanted. Bottom line, your car is worth whatever someone is willing to pay. I'd say start at 57 and settle no less than 53-54k. For the record, I paid $56k ( our Can. $ was $1.03 at the time helped ) 2 months ago, 4000 miles victory red/chrome wheels

Your ASKING price is in the ballpark - for someone who appreciates low miles, condition, and the 3LZ interior. You may have to wait awhile for the right buyer, and you will likely come down a couple of thousand. But if you look on this forum, and any other place you want to, there are few NICE, low mile 2008's even offered for sale.

If I hadn't just bought my 2008 Victory Red Z, equipped just like yours, I would seriously consider flying out from California to buy it - but then I'm the kind of guy that pulls off his wheels to polish the insides......

I almost purchased a 2009 3LZ for $55k, I had three in my area to choose from in that price range. I say the market will pay $50k.

Don't listen to the lowballers who say 45k. Advertise in other places also and you'll get closer to the price you want. Remember the forum is a good place to buy a Vette but not to sell one.

Nice car. As a data point I listed my 2008 JSB 2LZ, comp gray rims, 11000 miles a couple of months back. Stock, clean, garage kept, never tracked etc. I was thinking about getting a ZR1. The dealer offered me 38K and I got offers of 43K all day. Given consumer confidence and what is going on in the stock market I don't think you will see an offer over 45K. I'd keep the car.

I'd take anything over 45k if I was you. I've bought and sold 2 C6Z's, and I study the classifieds everyday. Good luck, I'd recommend keeping the Z over the ZR1 for the price difference

Line up the $45K 08Z's like this with this low miles and I'll show you a boat load of buyers. Buying and selling are two different things. I believe your car is worth asking what you want. Who cares if it takes a little extra time. Don't give it away! At the very least low $50's, otherwise let them buy the higher miled tracked or abused car. Cheap price only means quick sale and buyer wins. Personally the forum is a brutal place to sell a car and represents a small portion of Corvette sales. Get it out on the market and see what happens and then go from there. Good luck with selling that beauty.
