BTW fartpipe, I love the Z and color. There are plenty of Z's out there with smart mods smoking ZRs all day. To each their own...

Thank you! Driving my ZR1 I felt on a 55degree day my bolt on C6Z would've gave my ZR1 one hell of a run drag radial to drag radial. But my buttometer may need recalibrated. The new Z definitely does feel slow

Versus $650 a month before. To me the interiors are basically the same, the comfort of ride is very similar. The z06 with smaller tires tracks the road less. Brakes aren't really a difference in daily driving. Acceleration on the street in cool weather on street tires neither car is fast. On drag radials at the track the ZR1 is a monster in cold air. In warmer in air in stock form it is affected more then the c6z06. For street racing trying to get optimal temperature and more than one race with a ZR1 at peak performance temp range is crazy difficult. The Z06s just love to be ran. They get faster and run the same over and over again on the street which is important to me. The C6Z06 with around $5000 in smart mods will match or outrun a stock Zr1. Raise the air temp and it takes even less for the c6z06 to have to even the play field. The Z06 bang for the average income guys buck is truly impossible to beat IMO. If you want a ZR1 just to say you have it or just have the money then do it!!!! However if you enjoy pushing your car to the limit often and drag racing etc etc then theres no doubt you need a C6Z06 in your garage!!!

Now if I can just find some vendors who wanna show off what their products can really do noes your chance!!! Stock car and great driver!!!! Let's make **** happen together!!!
I'd love to hear the Fartpipe 5k smartmod plan, if you're inclined to share?

Are you gonna take a shot at Ranger's bone stock with DR's record?

Would love to see another wheelie.

And would like to see some scans from a bone stock Z heading down the track.

Oh and leave the clutch spring in this time for the love of pete.

I have the LOVE of PETE no matter what!

I made my maiden voyage to go after Ranger last night. I was really damn close!!! 12.4s at 124mph. I was just shy of the record someone said. LMFAO!

Whoa! Saw that post. What track was it? Surprised nobody hit the wall.

I hope you do give the BONE stock record a go.

Would be interesting to compare your launch technique to Rangers. I don't think he rides the clutch like you and I do.

From York, PA. 800 miles one way starting Thursday night at 6:45pm. Stopped in Virgina Comfort Inn for a cat knap for 3.5-4hrshours and back out to driving. Got to Georgia around 11am took 1.5hours to find the only self hand wash carwash in Atlanta I beleive. Traded the car in and started back. Drove back to upper VA. and stayed for the night. 4hours and back out on the way home. On the way home stopped in Gettysburg, Pa. at Keiths Pittstop dynojet and base lined the car. The air was very cool and dry, perfect for dynoing. The car baselined at 461rwhp 427rwtq on the dyno I used for my Atomic orange C6Z06. As always the 3rd pull was the best pull. All in all had a fun time for the drive down and back. Got some great pics as many got to see on Facebook as I posted them. Now the car is back all stock its time to figure out exactly what mods the car will get and future plans/ET goals. So I'm back ladies and gentleman. LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!!!!

When I opened my garage.

Race we had on the way home. That Stanger was built for speed!!!

When I reopened my garage!

YOU CERTAINLY KNOW A BEAUTIFULL COLOR MY CYBER FRIEND

Thanks for the z06 / zr1 comparison.

Helps me reinforce the desire for a 427 vert as a starter platform.
